Band Reduction

Some CMOS cameras are prone to banding.  This can be removed by comparing adjacent rows and correcting the small differences.

Select either Horiztonal, Vertical, or Both.  Horizontal banding is a common issue with CMOS sensors.  The Both option can improve the image display on some GSENSE sensors.

Select Use prescan + active area + overscan to use all image pixels to calculate the offsets.

Some cameras have the option of providing overscan pixels to the left and/or right of the image.  Often this requires making an adjustment to the camera settings to activate these extra pixels.  These pixels are not exposed to light and can be used for the banding correction. In this case, you can select Use 0 prescan (left) pixels and 0 overscan (right) pixels.  When selected, the number of either left or right pixels must be non-zero.
